I just discovered they are anti-interfaith on totally false reasoning. They confuse it with syncretism (para 3)

It must be so reassuring to the r+f to know that they only 'might' be included in the Great Crowd so that they can rejoice at the destruction of millions of 'false' Christians.

i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).

(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).

Is the Bible's description of Nineveh correct?

jonah 3:3 says: "now nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days journey.

" if we assume that about 20 miles can be covered in a day's walk, that would make nineveh about 60 miles wide.

was nineveh really that big?

It looks like it depends on what translation you use. The NIV reads:

'Now Nineveh was a very important city - a visit required three days'

My IVP New Bible Commentary suggests that this is a more accurate translation and that a proper state visit would take three days:

Day 1 - Arrival, settling in, locating the correct government officials and presenting credentials.

Day 2 - Official reception and business conduction.

Day 3 - Official send-off with any replies etc.

things happen in threes they say...so now the third thing...the company i work for is liquidating it's assets.

in a way i guess it's good, i've been thinking about doing something different for a while now, this kind of forces my hand...but the pressure sucks.. one month to go...

Funny, but True!

in our local newspaper, a couple weeks ago, there was an elderly man, about 84 years old, had been burning leaves in his yard.

he'd caught a mouse in his house, and decided to throw it into the fire....the mouse caught fire, and ran back into the old man's house and caught his house on fire.....how's that for poetic justice eh?

i laughed my a$$ off when i read that...it was somewhere in canada.
